For the Image City Gallery assignment in May, we were instructed to take a group of photographs [up to 15 images] of some object or location, generating a series of different perspectives. While visiting our youngest daughter and her family in NJ, I went to see my granddaughter play in a ‘fast pitch’ soft-ball game at a local park. It was there that I unexpectedly found my subject, a delightful sculpture of two kids on ‘monkey bars’. The images below [representing only half of the assignment] were shot with my LG4 cell phone. From the top down, they are presented in the chronological order in which they were shot [one of the assignment stipulations]; although several hours had elapsed between the first and last shots.
Welcome/Willkommen!
Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.
