Welcome/Willkommen!
Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Peabody Institute Spiral [Sunday Stills: Looking High, Looking Low]
We visited Baltimore's Peabody Institute last month and I spied this wonderful spiral staircase. I actually lay down on the floor and shot straight up! If you don't know the context, it's hard to say what the heck is going on -- cool beans!

Cool beans alright!
I liked what you did with the Genesee River, something I never considered trying. And, it brought back memories of my teaching career which started in Geneseo. Thanks.
Great shot. You should have walked to the top and shot down. :)
Thanks guys -- dibear, with wife, daughter and two grandsons in tow, I was lucky to get this one off -- LOL
WOW! That header and this photo are amazing!

Awesome, makes you dizzy.
Stan, I love this chambered nautilus view of the staircase. If you look on 1/26/11 on my blog you will see a similar shot but taken from the top down. The dizzying trick to the eyes is delightful here in your shot... beautiful light!
I will have to try the "floor position" on my next one of these... I have already been labeled as "nuts" in Paris anyway - hah!
Bises,
Genie
Wow, this is really cool! This is only the 2nd site I've visited today and I'm already lovin' this challenge.
