Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Circles 4 [Orange You Glad It’s Friday]

   Circles are not confined to inanimate objects, as anyone who has taken floral images can relate to. However, it is a bit more difficult finding something appropriate for OYGIF. So, I was pleasantly surprised looking at what I had shot out in a field of sunflowers [located in Pittsford, a suburb of Rochester, NY, 15-20 min. drive from our home]. While there were spots of orange here and there, my wife’s little shoulder bag made it a ‘no-brainer’. NOTE: In a [non-OYGIF] companion posting, I have several images shot in infrared at the same field.
