Below is a shot of the Liebfrauenkirche towers, whose construction began in the late 10th century. It is interesting to note that two towers are octagonal [foreground], while the other two are square [background]. That is seen more clearly in the second shot, which was actually taken of a poster hanging in the church.
The [Romanesque] church is in classical basilica style.
A short walk from the Domplatz is the Rathaus Roland, with the St. Martinikirche in the background. The figure in front of the Rathaus is similar to that of the Roland in Bremen.
Finally, on a lighter note, this sleep walking figure was located atop a shed outside our hotel. Next week I will begin posting images from our visit in Quedlinburg.
