Back from a delightful sojourn in Aruba. One price to pay is readapting to the cold weather/wearing heavy clothes back home in Rochester. Another is the imposed absence from SWF posting and following other folks. To show you what I saw, here are a few sunset images shot with my cell phone [so they were not with the kind of control I’d have preferred]. Still, Nature’s display shows up moderately well. I will post a few more [abstract] images made from last year’s visit.
Welcome/Willkommen!
Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Very beautiful photos for SWF,Stan!I wish I could be there too.Thank you for sharing and have a nice weekend!
Breathtaking photos. Happy sky watching.
My sky.
Stan, these are beautiful " sky watch" photos, even if not on a Friday. I had to do a Google search to see where Aruba is, no wonder the climate is much warmer. Welcome back, cheers from Jean.
Love these sunsets... the sail boat makes them so picturesque!
Wow, you certainly got a couple of marvelous images using your cell phone, glorious sky images!
Beautiful photos!
These are dreamy! (Especially on a snowy day in Wyoming!) They're both absolutely stunning, but I especially love the colors, light and composition of the second one. That diagonal red beam is a cool touch, and the sailboat is in such a perfect position... I think you owe its captain a drink! :-)
Welcome back and glad you had a restful vacation. These look peaceful and serene. The sky is gorgeous. Since my last comment here we have moved from B.C. to Alberta, so the quality and type of photos I am used to taking will change a bit!! Hope you check it out!!
Thank you all for your kind comments! I owe you return visits, but am still hopelessly behind in everything. But, I can still wish you a fine weekend and Super Bowl viewing. Cheers.
Beautiful pics. A dream place...
Thank u for your nice comment on my photo.

Welcome back, Stan! What a beautiful beach and sunset you have shown here. I love that the angle of the rays matches the angle of the sail. A great memory for you as you face the snow and frigid weather!
Bises,
Genie
