Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Arlie's Tree [Orange You Glad It's Friday]

Fall is upon us -- interestingly, one does not have to go far to find to observe some fabulous colors. In fact, my neighbor’s tree puts on a superb show each year [such that I can almost forgive it for dropping its leaves and spreading its roots through my lawn]. Truth be told, this particular image was shot several years ago; in the meantime, the tree has grown to be so huge that it does not lend itself well for framing.

Gorgeous fall color, Stan! Visiting you from Orange You Glad It's Friday :)

I see you live in Rochester, NY...I was born there and grew up southwest of Buffalo. It's great to see some photos from Letchworth and Niagara Falls...thanks for sharing!

I'm surprised to find that Seattle has quite a bit of fall color, not just the NE. I love the show your neighbor's tree is putting on, but you have to let go of your idea of framing and find a new way to capture the current colors of if. Nothing stays the same in nature, does it?
