Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Letchworth State Park 1 [Sky Watch Friday]

As I have noted many times before, Rochester NY and the surrounding region have an abundance of parks, waterways, waterfalls and recreational areas. One of my favorites is Letchworth State Park, located ca. 40 miles south of the city. It boasts several waterfalls [which I will show you in the coming weeks] and a magnificent gorge [referred to as the Grand Canyon of the east]. We visited there recently, but the Fall colors had not yet peaked. Still, I got some nice shots that I want to share.

Gorgeous shots - and looks like a gorgeous day to be out taking them! I can't believe how much green there still is, but if that little scarlet showoff in photo #3 is any indication, you're going to have an amazing show when the colors peak!

Oh my! Wonderful beauty captured in your photos. These are the kind of scenes that make Fall my favourite season.

Thanks all for your kind comments! The downside of Fall, of course, is the fact that Winter is not far behind ---sigh --

Hello Stanley and thank you for stopping by my blog!
These are such gorgeous shots .. even if the falls aren't at their peak it is a beautiful area and the pop of colour from the changing trees is beautiful to see .. plus that blue of the sky.
Great shots !
