Needless to say, I found Cathedral Rock an irresistible object, and photographed it whenever and where ever the opportunity presented itself. The two images here were at the start and towards the end of sunset. In fact, in the lower one, we stopped the car on the way home when my wife said I had to look back at this view.
Welcome/Willkommen!
Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Just stunning! Have nice w/end. :)
wow... beautiful!
You have captured the stunning beauty to perfection, I think I would have stood and shot until the light went.
A magical place although I must have said that before on another of your posts.
Wow, great photos of a great landscape.
Gorgeous coloring and lighting. I was there in March but didn't get to hang around for the sunset hour.
wow, these are absolutely stunning! the light and shadows make it more beautiful and mysterious.
Sedona is magical, and your photos capture the beauty well!
Truly breathtaking, and well worth a special stop and multiple photos! Cathedral Rock was just made for reflecting the light and colors of sunset. And Sedona is so magical...
