Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Portraits 1 [Orange You Glad It's Friday]

This week I depart from posting images of inanimate objects. I became enamored with portraits while our 3 daughters were growing up; and, it is still an aspect of photography that I enjoy very much. The beautiful woman sporting sun glasses is my wife of 51 years. [This image of Rosemarie dates back some 35 years.] Some of you have wondered about my knowledge of German -- Rosemarie, born in Braunschweig, is one of the reasons. The two young ladies below were enjoying themselves trying on ear muffs at the public market. As you can see, they were not at all reluctant to be photographed.
Starting next week, I’ll be taking a few week break from posting on OYGIF.
