Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Sankofa African Drum & Dance Ensemble [Orange You Glad It's Friday]

Having performed previously with the Sankofa African Drum & Dance Ensemble, I am still a member and was allowed to photograph their dress rehearsal last week. The majority of dancers are undergraduate students at State University of NY at Brockport; the drummers are a mix of current students, alumni and members of the Rochester community.  I was pleased to see that there are a number of images suitable for posting on OYGIF,  and I’d like to share these with you today. The  Rochester newspaper, Democrat & Chronicle, publishes a daily panorama, submitted by local photographers. The top image appeared in the Sunday, May 4th edition. [This posting will be my last for several weeks.]
