Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Aruba Skies [Sky Watch Friday]

It’s been a long time since I have posted any images on SWF; I guess I’ve been more in an ‘Orange You Glad It’s Friday Mode’.... Anyway, here are some shots taken with my HTC cell phone during our recent holiday in Aruba. Since I did not take my DSLR camera along, I followed the dictum that the best camera you own is the one you have with you. As there were some interesting sunsets that needed to be shot, I did what I had to. My daughter said that the sun in the top image looks like a fried egg, sunny side up.

Contrary to popular belief, it does rain in Aruba, although it generally does not last very long. Below is documentation of my first point.
