Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Public Market People 1 [Orange You Glad It’s Friday]

I recently self-published a photo book, Everyday People, which was the outcome of a project I began in order to improve my ability to create a portfolio. With the help of my OYGIF archive, I culled some 30 images from out of hundreds. This work was aided by the fact that I decided to choose only photos that featured a person or people as the subject. While I have already posted most [but not all] of those images used in the book, there are several that remain “on the cutting room floor”. I thought I’d post some of those images [shot at the Rochester Public Market] that did not make the grade, but which I still happen to like.
