Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Circles 3 [Orange You Glad It’s Friday]

Circles come in both 2-D and 3-D. These forms will be evident in today’s posting, as well as in the coming weeks. The manhole covers and glove shots below are good 2-D exemplars.

The lamp globes below are clearly in the 3-D group. The building in the background was the Lincoln Chase Tower [I don’t know its current name] in downtown Rochester, one of the most frequently photographed buildings in town. I confess to making a mistake by not shooting these a step [or two] to the left in order to get ‘perfectly’ symmetrical images.

The last 3-D example is a group of old bowling balls that were piled up on the lawn of a local artist who has a wildly eclectic collection of items on his property.
