Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Image City Gallery Assignments [Feb. 2017]

In early November, I posted images that were shot in fulfillment of a monthly assignment for a group of amateur photographers who meet with two professionals at Rochester’s Image City Gallery. We show and discuss/critique our photos in a critical, but positive and supporting, environment. For this month’s assignment, we were limited to shooting in our living room to force us to look and find “curves” [and be sure viewers could make them out as well]. Curves could be generated by the positioning of objects in the space, or by the actual shape of an object. In the latter instance, however, it had to be clear that the object was in the living room. Below are my images. Since our meeting has not yet taken place, I do not know how they will be regarded. Feel free to comment whether you do or do not find the curve(s).
