Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

London Sky/Eye [Sky Watch Friday]

This is not the sky one would expect to see in London, but we lucked out -- 9 days of sunshine and 1 cloudy day-- so, this sky is not a product of 'photoshopping'. I shot this from Westminster Bridge [love the street lights] down the Thames to catch the London Eye. Blimey, all of a sudden I need some Fish-n-Chips.

I sure do like the perspective on this. It creates the illusion that those eye riders really are in the clouds. Elegant!

Stan, I wondered how you "created" that blue sky... so glad that you enjoyed such a long sojourn with blue and fluffy white clouds.

That is a fabulous lamppost with its color and detail!

Great composition, I like the way the curve of the light mimics the curve of the "eye". You had great light, too.

Super artistic. Lovely perspective on the wheel.
Looks like we both had nice weather in London - here is a shot from last October http://mostlylacounty.blogspot.com/2010/10/eye-eye-candy-london-uk-skywatch-friday.html

Blimey indeed :-)
that was some complimentary comment I found on my skywatch post :
I think I'll have it framed .
Mind you, I can return it with interest: including both these structures in one shot with sunlight on them is a feat.
You deserve the fish and chips. Hold the vinegar I presume.

Lots of cool stuff to see in this photo. Awesome perspective, and the three lights with thier patterns as well, all contribute. The sky looks great, clouds always make for a more interesting photo!

Ha, ha, I would love some fish-n-chips too! London has been one of my favorite cities ever since I lived there for 8 months in 1974, and I always enjoy going back.
