Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Rockefeller Center Exit Doors [Sunday Stills: Doors and Doorknobs]

Rockefeller Center is an absolute gem and model of the Art Deco craze in the early 20th century. We were in NYC in Oct. 2010 and caught a weekend when there was open house at many iconic locales. I couldn't get enough of the glitzy interior of Rckefeller Center -- even something as mundane as the exit doors.

This photo is crazy! I love that it made me look three times, it totally reflects the Art Deco thing you talk about. Nice.

Beautiful shot. How ever did you manage to find this area empty of people?

And those are "just" the exit doors? Wow. I expect Fred and Ginger to enter stage right. :-)

Thanks all for your nice comments -- the lobby area is so beautiful, you could give a monkey a camera and it would come up with a good shot! LOL
hi Lee, Well, I was at a side door--

Lovely! The reflections on the polished ceiling almost look like water and for a moment I thought the photo was upside down!

Thanks for the nice comments. Wow, I love the entry way --it has been a LONG time since I've been there so I didn't really remember what it was like. Great shadows, reflection, and lots of glitz! Have a great week. Mickie:)
