Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Skylight [Sky Watch Friday]

My wife and I recently visited Rochester's Memorial Art Gallery. It is a wonderful little museum that has an impressive standing collection of art, but also periodically stages excellent new exhibits. The current show, Crafts & Modernism, drew us in. But, in addition to the standing, hanging and leaning objects, there were other attractions to enjoy. As we were about to exit, I couldn't help but stop and admire the blue sky through the skylight in the Atrium. I suddenly realized that I had a shot for my month's assignment on geometry -- this has any number of plane geometry figures [rectangle, square, trapezoid, parallelogram, ...]. So, I whipped out my cell phone and.. voila.

Lovely sky in between the geometrical shapes! Also, love your foggy header. Both great captures! Have a great weekend!
